Will Pye: Blessed with a Brain Tumour
Two and half years ago Will Pye was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Although not immediately life threatening, doctors recommended immediate surgery to remove it. Will however decided to attempt a self induced healing. Prior to the diagnosis, he had been reading widely around the subject of consciousness. Will complemented this research with meditation and Mindfulness exercises. Though hardly ideal, this appearance of the brain tumour provided Will with an unprecedented opportunity to test out some of these theories. Culminating in the development of his concept of Radical Gratitude, Will describes himself as being 'blessed with a brain tumour.' A notion many would find perverse but a scenario that he describes himself as 'genuinely grateful for'. Will has still not undergone surgery. The tumour remains but in a benign state, its size unchanged.
